Breathing is a hot topic these days, but not everyone understands how to unlock and harness its game-changing power. In the first half of this session, you’ll learn the basics of breathing biomechanics and how breathing impacts posture, mobility, stability, and strength. During the second half, Dana will share ways to overcome the biggest obstacles to breathing optimally and introduce you to positional breathing drills she uses with professional athletes to improve quality of movement in measurable ways (i.e., immediate increases in shoulder IR/ER, t-spine rotation and hip IR). She’ll also touch on breathing’s profound impact on the mental side of performance.
